Contemporary Landscaping Project

Our brief here was to replace the old tired garden with a contemporary low maintenance garden including 100 square meters of patio, a picket fenced vegetable patch, large lawn and modern trellis fencing to demarcate the separate areas.

We completely redesigned from scratch including both hard and soft landscaping - vegetable patch and large Indian Sandstone patio. The weather was very hot and dry, the solid chalk earth was parched dry and low on nutrients. We had to add lots of organic matter and sequestered iron to support the low maintenance planting scheme which hugged the house creating a soft link between house and garden.
